Feeling better about Na today. I just need to let it be what it is. No worrying about what I used to have or whatever.More shit in the Landlord saga. Our water got turned off on Friday. This has happened before. So I called Robert to ask him what was up. He said that since the house had passed inspection, it was up to us to get the water turned back on. So Summer went down to the water department today to set up a new account. They pull up the house on their computer it appears that the passed inspection, the paper that says that our house is not condemned, has not yet been filed. The water department calls the Housing Commission. The HC says that the certificate of occupancy hasn't been filed because Robert owes a delinquincy fee of $500 for not getting the house inspected in time. So the Water Dept. tells Summer to go down and talk to the HC. They also tell her that because Robert has repeatedly tampered with the meter, they took it out, and a new one will need to be installed. Apparently, the first offense is a $50 fine. At the second offense, $200 and they take the fucking meter. So Summer, thoroughly embarrassed at this point goes down to talk to the HC. She walks in, tries to tell them what's going on, and bursts into tears. One of the women in the office looks at her and says, "Let me guess, your landlord is Robert Johnson."

Up to this point Summer had told no one his name.

So now we know that the city of Asheville thinks he's a shitty landlord too. So the Housing Commission took pity on us, and Robert still has to pay his $750 worth of fines, but we have water. I really wish I knew what else we should do. Summer's dad gave her a list of all the people downtown that we should be making friends with, but I'm just not that outgoing. PLus the whole not getting off work until 6 everyday thing, but that'll change soon. And I will become a full time paper geek.
