Finshed reading Small Wonders, by Barbara Kingsolver today. Was profoundly changed by the experience. Now want to move onto my Grandparent's farm and raise heirloom vegetables for a living. Only, can it be more in the city? I could also go for a house with an actual yard and stuff. That would be good.
So we went grocery shopping at Earthfare, bought only veggies and bulk stuff. That box of Annie's Mac and Cheese doesn't count. Umm. But we think we might put a garden plot in the grassy part below the parking lot. Mel is putting a garden in for her neighbor, so we might be able to do a veggie trade. For when we can't stand zucchini anymore. This sustainable living thing is hard. And I've only been into it for about 5 hours now.
