Behold the entirety of my evening. I mean, besides all that time I wasted waiting for something entertaining to happen on the VMA’s. Well, OK Go was fun, and Pink accepting the award for Stupid Girls from Nicole Ritchey was excellent, but other than that, I’m really glad I got a cake out of the whole ordeal.
This cake will be consumed tomorrow evening following Asheville Vaudeville at Pritchard Park. You know you want a piece.
Also, it’s about to get loud in E-town. I remember several hurricanes in my youth. None involved surfing, drinking, or lashing anything to a mast, though, so I feel slightly cheated. We always played board games by flashlight and were denied access to ice once the power went out. During Fran in 1996, seven trees fell down across our road and it took 3 days before we could get out, so we couldn’t go back to school. But the school was closed because half the county was flooded, so I guess that doesn’t really count.
I feel certain that the drunk ass sorority girls playing on Ocean Isle for all the world to see today are currently enjoying the breeze.
