Travel Broadens the Mind

I was in Thailand in an apartment with Red and her nephew. Men were there, pretending to work on the wiring, but they were really listening, spying on us. I was playing with TJ, bouncing him on my lap.

Then I went downtown to meet a man at Baskin Robbins. We talked for a little while at a table outside. It was overcast and rainy. I remember a bit about the traffic getting downtown, and now it seems more like London than Bangkok.

We went inside and he offered to buy me a cone. He ordered a weird flavor, then I ordered chocolate. The woman spilled my cone as she handed it across the counter to me. She gave me another cone and her punishment was to get pelted by blue ice cream. I was supposed to do it, but I didn’t want to, because she had already spilled my first cone down her shirt. I looked behind the counter as she thanked me and there were two beds there. The spreads were covered in chocolate ice cream splotches, from employees wiping their hands.

This dream took place after my radio had started for the morning, thus the setting of Thailand. I don’t think there were any stories about Baskin Robbins on NPR yesterday, though, so I have no idea where I got that part from. I don’t even like ice cream.
