Tonight was The Cleav’s birthday party, so we ventured from Mela for excellent Indian food to Old Europe for caffeination/libation to Barley’s for darts and beer. There were many excellent quotes, and I once again lamented the absence of a pen.
Alison Bechdel, author of the Best. Comics. Ever., Dykes to Watch Out For, will be at Malaprops to sign copies of her new book Fun Home on Friday evening at 7pm. The new book is about her relationship with her gay father. I find something to identify with there. I will be continuing the evening at Brewco for an extended Oxymorons show. Oldtimers, the original Oxys, will be performing at 8, followed by a really sexy modern version at 9:30.
I will perform karaoke on Saturday if I have to crawl across broken glass to get there, though I would prefer not to.
