This is my shower. This is the only shower in the house. There is a bathtub that takes forever and a day to fill. Currently, in my shower, there is a standing 2″ of water. When I plunge the shower, air goes in and the water runs out until it fills the shower back up to pre-plunge levels. Also, the kitchen sink gurgles. When I plug the kitchen sink, the shower gets all full of shit, but no less clogged. Mom said that the septic vent pipe might be clogged, so I hauled my cookies onto the roof with two wire hangers, in an attempt to fish out the bird’s nest or whatever. I promptly dropped the wire hangers down the pipe, completely failing to solve the clogging issue, but now, since its only the shower that’s clogged, I think that isn’t the problem.
Dilemma #1: There is a U-bend under the shower. Will a snake make the U, or will I have to take apart the pipes and snake along the straightaway? If I have to take them apart, what’s the point of having a snake? Wouldn’t a pole work?
Dilemma #2: Dammit, why won’t my shower just work?!
Dilemma #3: I have now crossed the line into home improvement blogging. I apologize.
