Made braised pork butt (shoulder, not ass) for dinner tonight with turnips and leeks in a red wine broth. holy fucking shit.
Tomorrow, I’m going to Warren Wilson to hear a lecture by a guy who started a truffle (fungus, not chocolate) farm in Tennessee. It takes a long time, so probably not at this house, but we’ll see.
I got into Bee School! I was on the (142 strong) waiting list, but D’oh’s (too many apostophes!) lady friend gave me her spot since she is going to be out of town.
Also made a resolution to eat breakfast. Made little packets of oatmeal with cinnamon, sugar and nutmeg. They look REALLY small, but the goal is to eat one serving.
Really looking forward to French Onion Soup made with the butt (shoulder, not ass) bone and the red wine broth. mmmmmmm.
